Panel Processing
CNC machining, panel cutting, edge banding, drilling and boring for furniture production.
Panel processing machinery covers the full route of a furniture panel: cutting the board to size, machining it on a CNC, drilling the connection holes and applying the edge. PROMACH supplies new and used machines for each of these steps, from a single machine for a small workshop to connected lines for series production.
Which machine fits depends on what you produce and in what quantity.
A workshop making kitchen fronts needs a different edge bander than a company producing office furniture in batches.
Panel thickness, edge material, daily output and available floor space decide the configuration, not the brand name. Before recommending a machine, PROMACH reviews the process: the material you work with, the volumes, the machines you already have and how the panels move through the workshop. Delivery, installation, commissioning and operator training are part of the project, and spare parts and service support continue afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Which edge banding machine fits a small workshop?
It depends on the panels and the daily output, not on the workshop size. For occasional straight edges, a compact machine with gluing, trimming and buffing is enough. For daily production with thicker edges, pre-milling and corner rounding save most of the rework.
What is pre-milling and when is it needed?
Pre-milling removes 1 to 2 mm from the panel edge before the glue is applied, so the surface is clean and straight. It matters most on melamine panels, where saw marks would otherwise show as a light line along the glue joint.
New or used machinery for a workshop that is starting out?
A used machine in good condition costs less and keeps the investment low while the volumes are still uncertain. A new machine makes sense when the output is predictable, when downtime is expensive, or when the configuration you need is not available on the used market.
