Panel Processing

Edge banding machines

An edge bander applies the edge to a cut panel and finishes it in one pass: gluing, trimming, scraping and buffing. The number of working stations decides how much of that happens on the machine and how much is left as handwork. Pre-milling matters on melamine panels, where saw marks would otherwise show along the glue joint; corner rounding is needed for thicker edges and rounded fronts. PROMACH supplies new and used edge banders, from compact machines for a workshop that bands occasionally to 15-station machines for daily production. The configuration follows the panel thickness, the edge material and the daily output, not the brand. Delivery, installation, commissioning and operator training are part of the project, with spare parts and service afterwards.
