Casadei Industria E321 compact automatic edge banding machine

The Casadei Industria E321 is a compact automatic edge banding machine for straight furniture panels of particleboard, MDF and plywood, 10–45 mm thick, intended for small and medium joinery workshops with limited space, for one-off pieces and small batches. In a single pass it glues the edge, trims the ends and flush trims top and bottom. It applies ABS, PVC, melamine and veneer edges 0.4–2 mm thick from coil, at a feed speed of 7 m/min. The minimum panel length is 220 mm on the edged side and the minimum width 110 mm. The panel is driven by a toothed belt with steel insert, adjustable in height by handwheel with a numerical indicator. The infeed guide has 3 positions (0, 1 and 2 mm) according to the edge thickness. The 1800 mm work table has 7 adjustable rollers and sliding guides, and the extensible front support holds large panels. The Teflon-coated EVA glue pot holds 1 kg and has 6 heating elements (4 in the glue pot, 1 in the turret, 1 in the roller) totalling about 1.49 kW; it heats up in 14–16 min, or 4–6 min from stand-by. The glue roller is motorised. The edge is fed from a coil of up to Ø 600 mm and cut by a pneumatic shear. Three pressure rollers, one rubber-coated and two nylon, press the edge onto the panel. End trimming is pneumatic, at the front and rear, with shear and tracking system, and can be excluded from the control panel. Top and bottom flush trimming uses a single 0.37 kW motor with a tool speed of 9000 rpm (50 Hz), Z4 cutters of 75 mm with disposable Widia knives, a combined radius 2 mm / chamfer profile and vertical disc copiers with numerical indicators. Top flush trimming for nesting panels and a set of R = 1 mm inserts instead of the standard ones are available as options. The PLC control provides automatic temperature control with stand-by and temperature indicator, unit selection with illuminated LED buttons, diagnostic messages and statistics (operating hours, edge metres). The standard supply is 400 V / 50 Hz / 3 phases + N; optionally 230 V / 50 Hz / 3 phases or 1 phase, and a transformer for networks without neutral, required when the supply has no neutral. The machine has a compressed air connection with regulator, adjustable anti-vibration feet and CE conformity; the net weight is 242 kg.
